To Whom It May Concern:

I write this letter of recommendation with great pleasure for John Press. I have worked with Mr. Press since December of 2002. Mr. Press is a Social Studies teacher and half time dean of students. He is also teaching two philosophy electives this semester.

The following has become quite evident about Mr. Press:

· He is becoming an effective dean of students by using successful communication skills with students, parents, faculty and staff.

· He demonstrates a sincere willingness to make his instructional practices public. I have visited his classroom numerous times. Mr. Press makes his lessons interesting and interactive for his students.

· He is a life long learner, and actively participates in our school’s CSR (Comprehensive School Reform) grant.

· He single handedly spearheaded the district’s charitable campaign drive. Our school’s campaign was very successful. Our student body alone raised $1,000.00.

• He has been an active participant on the WASC leadership team. We recently had a successful three-year re-visit.

In short, Mr. Press deserves the opportunity, and has the requisite behaviors to become an administrator. I am a phone call away if you have a query.
